From small beginnings in 1969 around the kitchen table at Copthill Farm, Copthill School in Uffington, Lincolnshire has grown steadily and is now a thriving, purpose-built, independent school on a 300-acre campus for 300 boys and girls aged between two and eleven.
We were asked by SMC Creative to create an illustrated site map of the school and grounds to reflect their unique and inspiring school. After meeting the staff and children (and the dogs, pigs, llamas and chickens) and exploring the saxon village, air raid shelter and the forest school we reluctantly left to set to work. The project involved character illustration and linocut icons for use on the Copthill website and printed media.
